International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) President Kerrith Brown is set to be the guest of honour at the Sangai MMA event which will happen in Manipur, India.
The event, which is hosted as part of the Sangai Festival, will be held on 25 November 2022 and 26 November 2022 at the Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium in Manipur. Sanctioned by the MMA India Federation (MMA India) a string of exciting fights has been announced for the event as well.
Along with the IMMAF President, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh will be the Chief Guest of the event. MMA India President and AMMAF South Asia Director Sharif Bapu will serve as the special guest.
UFC Gym India Chairman Farzad Palia, UFC Gym India Founder and MD Istayak Ansari, Former Miss India World Pooja Chopra, Manipur Actor Kaiku Rajkumar and Sangai Festival Brand Ambassador Soma Laishram will also serve as special guests for the event.
As for the fight action, more than 48 fighters are expected to be in action at the event. International fighters will also be in this list with countries like Egypt, Algeria, Iran, Ireland and Tajikistan represented at the event.
Indian MMA fighters like Bilal Mohammed, Zarmawia, Karan Chauhan, Mahboob Khan among others will also be in action at the event.
India shines at IMMAF Asian MMA Championship 2022
The visit of Kerrith Brown to India comes on the back of India’s impressive performance at the IMMAF Asian MMA Championship which happened in Tajikistan. India secured a total of four medals at the event.
Former Junior World Champion Mahboob Khan secured a bronze medal alongside Shabarish Ayyanar and Khushboo Nishad. Tanishkaa Bhansali secured a silver medal in the championship as well.

Alongside the event, the Asian Mixed Martial Arts Federation (AMMAF) was also launched where MMA India President Sharif Bapu was selected as the Director of South Asia.
