BRAVE CF Hall of Famer Carlos Kremer praises Owais Yaqoob

BRAVE Combat Federation Hall of Famer Carlos Kremer believes India's Owais Yaqoob is emerging as one of the country's leading mixed martial arts stars following another dominant performance at BRAVE CF 107.

Yaqoob extended his winning streak with a first-round technical knockout victory over Bulgaria's Delyan Georgiev in a 68-kilogram catchweight bout on Aug. 1 at Burgas Arena. The Indian fighter controlled the contest from the opening bell, applying relentless pressure before dropping Georgiev with a left hook and finishing the bout with ground-and-pound at the 4-minute mark of the opening round.

Following the victory, Yaqoob called for a shot at reigning BRAVE CF Lightweight World Champion Abdisalam "Omok" Uulu Kubanychbek, making his intentions to compete for the promotion's 155-pound title clear.

Kremer, the first inductee into the BRAVE CF Hall of Fame and one of mixed martial arts' most recognizable cage announcers, said Yaqoob's recent performances are helping elevate the profile of Indian MMA on the global stage.
