ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong says that ONE Muay Thai World Champion Chatri Sityodtong will be as big as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Chatri revealed the same during his Facebook Live Question and Answer session last week and noted that Rodtang is set to be the highest-paid Muay Thai athlete in the world.
“In two or three years, Rodtang will be as big as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi,” Chatri noted.
During the interaction, Chatri also addressed a potential showdown between Jonathan Haggerty.
“Jonathan Haggerty will defend his title. I talked to him last night and he said he wanted to come back this September. I am not sure if it will be in England or somewhere else. Maybe it will be Nong-O or Rodtang. It will depend on Haggerty. Additionally, he wants to fight Liam Harrison at Wembley Stadium in the UK. We are currently checking on this in the UK if this is possible,” he said (h/t SCMP MMA).

Rodtang has been a part of the ONE Championship since 2018 and he captured the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World title back in 2019. Rodtang won the title with a win over Jonathan Haggerty and has not looked back ever since.
The Thai Superstar has so far defended the title five times and has also ventured into MMA through a mixed-rules special fight against Demetrious Johnson.
Rodtang also holds the record for the longest winning streak in ONE Championship with 14 wins and also has the greatest number of decision wins in the promotion with 11.
