MMAFI to host Combat Sports Festival in Mumbai in December

The Mixed Martial Arts Federation of India (MMAFI) is all set to host Combat Sports Festival in Mumbai from 15 December 2022 to 18 December 2022. The event will see competition across multiple disciplines including Karate, MMA, Grappling, Kickboxing and Boxing.

National MMA Championship to start on 15 December 2022

The MMAFI National MMA Championship 2022 will kickstart the proceedings on 15 December 2022. U12, U14 Cadet, U16 Junior, U18 Youth and +18 Amateur MMA Categories will be featured on the championship which will run all the way till 18 December 2022.

The championship will see the return of reigning national MMA champions like Maulika Sharma, Adnan Khan and Dhruv along with a string of exciting talent from across the country.

Elsewhere, the National Grappling Championship will be hosted on 18 December 2022 and the International Karate Championship will happen on 18 December 2022 as well.

On 17 December, the festival will have a one-day kickboxing tournament along with a one-day boxing tournament.

The event will happen at the Priyadarshini Indira Gandhi Krida  Sankul Purushottam Kheraj Road, Mulund (West), Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Fights Night Global President Kamil Gadzhiev to be present

One of the major boosts for the event will be the presence of Fights Night Global President Kamil Gadzhiev at the event. Fight Night Global aka AMC Fight Nights is planning to launch in India in association with MMAFI and the visit of Kamil will be the first step towards strengthening the association between the two parties.

The association is expected to open doors for Indian fighters to compete in the Russian promotion and at the same time, could also open doors for the promotion to host events in India.
