Kayla Harrison is confident that she can top the undefeated record of former UFC Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. In an interview with Mirror Fighting recently, Kayla noted that she does not want to limit herself.

“I would never limit myself, my dreams and my capabilities. I would never say ‘I’m never going to do that. I think that anything is possible, I truly believe that. I have the mindset, skillset, team, drive and determination to make anything happen. So for sure, that could be a possibility,” she noted when asked about the possibility of bettering the record of Khabib.

The Russian MMA superstar retired with a perfect MMA record of 29-0 to his name but the same has been questioned lately by many MMA fighters. A long list of fighters has come out questioning the credentials of Khabib including the likes of Demetrious Johnson, Anthony Pettis and MMA official John McCarthy among others.

Kayla, however, sees things differently and looks up to Khabib as a role model for her.

“He never changed, stood by his morals and wasn’t afraid to be real. You couldn’t buy him, I have nothing but respect for Khabib, for everything he’s accomplished in and outside of the cage and the way he carries himself. He’s truly a role model for someone like me. I respect him so much and wish him the best,” Harrison noted.

Harrison is currently 14-0 in her professional MMA career and is on her way to winning another season in the Professional Fighters League. Apart from the PFL, Harrison has also fought in Invicta Fighting Championship and recently called out Cris Cyborg for a super fight.
