Dana White does not want to include Khabib Nurmagomedov in the Greatest of All Time Conversation. The UFC president feels that the former UFC Lightweight champion retired too early and feels that Jon Jones did better in the UFC.

Dana was speaking in an interview hosted by GQ Sports where he was answering the questions that poked up on the internet. When asked whether Khabib can be considered as the GOAT, Dana noted that Khabib did have the potential.

“It's so hard. Obviously, he's talented enough. You know, who knows what he could accomplish but he retired too early. I mean, Jon Jones is probably going to fight at heavyweight this year. You know, whatever you think about John, it's hard not to call him the G.O.A.T. Believe me when I tell you I've tried to convince Khabib to come out of retirement. We'll see what happens over the next couple of years. But I feel like he left in his prime. I mean, look at what he did to Justin Gaethje right before he retired,” he noted.

Interestingly, in the same interview, Dana White revealed his top five UFC fighters of all time and excluded Khabib from the list while including likes of Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey.

Will Khabib ever return?

Khabib Nurmagomedov retired from the sport of MMA with a perfect record of 29-0 to his name. He was the reigning UFC Lightweight champion at the time he retired and he has been busy as a promoter and a coach since his retirement.
