Conor McGregor could make his UFC return in 2023. This is as per The Irishman's manager Tim Simpson.

Speaking to MMA Junkie, Simpson noted that McGregor is working hard for a comeback.

“He’s still on track for a big return next year, but this fits in perfectly in the meantime. The leg is still healing. I think there’s a little bit more to go on that, but he’s been training like a madman twice a day, every day. He’s got his full team out there: the McGregor Fast team, all his health and fitness guys, physio, boxing, coaching. He’s been going hard. He’s been training super hard. He’s in amazing shape – just final adjustments to get that leg back where it needs to be," Simpson noted.

The former two-division champion has been quite active on social media lately. He made headlines with his tweets during the UFC 278 pay-per-view as well.

He is also set to make his big screen debut soon. McGregor will be acting alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in the remake of Roadhouse.

As for his MMA career, he is currently 22-6. The Irishman suffered two back-to-back losses to Dustin Poirier in his last two fights. McGregor also suffered a leg injury in his last fight which sidelined him. Before this, McGregor had secured a win over Donald Cerrone via first-round TKO.

McGregor and his team have also teased a potential fight with Floyd Mayweather. McGregor and Mayweather had fought in a big-money boxing showdown a few years back. Mayweather picked up a win in that fight but McGregor had gained praise for his performance.
