Conor McGregor is the most hated UFC Fighter on Internet according to a study

Conor McGregor is hands down one of the biggest stars that UFC has seen. He was on top of the highest-paid athletes' list from Forbes last year and now, McGregor has topped another list as well.

In a study conducted by Bookmakers.com, it was found that Conor McGregor is the most hated UFC Fighter on the internet. The study was conducted using the social listening tool Linkfluence which took data from conversations on social media platforms like Reddit and Twitter.

29.31% of conversations about McGregor were negative which was the highest among the UFC fighters. At the same time, interestingly, 44.60% of the conversations had McGregor on the positive side.

Former Light Heavyweight title contender Thiago Santos came in second on the list when TJ Dillashaw was the third most hated fighter on the UFC roster.

Israel Adesanya was the most-loved UFC Fighter on the internet as per the study and he was followed by Brandon Moreno and Conor McGregor.

Nevertheless, despite his love-hate relationship with the fans, McGregor still remains the top draw in the UFC as four of the top five highest-selling pay-per-view events featured the Irishman.

UFC 229, which featured Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregor is still the highest-selling pay-per-view in the UFC history which is reported to have done a business of more than $180 Million.
