How BRAVE Combat Federation surpassed UFC in just six years

After rolling out its first event on September 23, 2016, in Bahrain, the promotion travelled to Mexico, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, India, Kazakhstan, and Bahrain in its first full year of business.

In 2017 and 2018, the organization expanded their territory to Colombia, Jordan, Indonesia, Northern Ireland, Morocco and Indonesia as well.

The third year proved to be crucial for the company as it further added Pakistan, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, The Philippines, and England. This was followed by events in Romania, Kyrgyzstan, Slovenia, and Sweden.

After organising events in Russia, Belarus, Italy, Poland, and Serbia in 2021, BRAVE CF returned to the road in 2022 to help promote mixed martial arts in new countries like South Korea and Uzbekistan.

BRAVE Combat Federation, which has been around for six years, hit its biggest milestone on August 6 and has since surpassed all other MMA organizations in terms of travel. The organisation needs 2144 days to travel from BRAVE CF 1 to BRAVE CF 61, which is a remarkable achievement given that the UFC required 9452 days to travel to 27 nations.

In addition to the record-breaking BRAVE CF 61, BRAVE CF also achieved significant firsts by organising the first international mixed martial arts events in a number of different countries and being the only international MMA organization to hold an event in Africa.

The Scouting that earned praise

While being the most-travelled promotion in the world is one thing, BRAVE Combat Federation had also made headlines with their scouting system through which some notable names have experienced the spotlight.

One of the biggest names that came through the ranks of the BRAVE Combat Federation is Khamzat Chimaev. Khamzat was discovered by BRAVE CF when he was just two fights into his professional MMA career and the Swede had four fights in the promotion before signing with the UFC. Khamzat even headlined an event in India during his run in BRAVE CF.

Muhammed Mokaev, who is now making waves in the UFC Flyweight division, made his professional MMA debut in BRAVE CF and fought five times in the promotion before joining the UFC.

ONE Championship star Stephen Loman made his mark on the international MMA circuit through BRAVE Combat Federation and UFC fighter Amir Albazi also has roots in the Bahrain-based MMA organization to name a few.
