Bellator 293 Results: James KO Golm, Cat Zingano outclasses Leah McCourt

Bellator 293 is in the books and the main card saw Daniel James getting a win over Marcelo Golm.

James opted to let his hands go after spending the majority of two rounds on his back. In the third round of his Bellator 293 main event against Marcelo Golm, he came out firing, stunned him right away, then crushed him with a three-punch combo that featured two powerful uppercuts.

James made a statement with the victory, advancing to 2-0 since his return to Bellator late last year. He also acknowledged heavyweight champion Ryan Bader, who was seated cageside. Golm had a four-fight winning streak ended, all by finishes, for his first loss in over four years.

Cat Zingano and Leah McCourt put up one of the most intriguing, back-and-forth female fights of 2023.

On the mat, the battle featured full of transitional sequences. At various points, Zingano and McCourt each controlled and injured the other. Yet Zingano was more punitive, as seen by a massive knee to McCourt's face in the third round, which resulted in a large gash on her forehead. The event also saw a proposal inside the cage with Luke Trainer proposing his fiance.
