Dan Hooker took home the win in the main event of UFC Auckland after he managed to outclass Paul Felder in a five-round war. The razor-thin decision saw two judges pick in favour of Hooker while one judge picked in favour of Felder.

Both fighters had their moments throughout the fight and it was hard to pick a winner till the fifth round. In the fifth round, however, Hooker managed to land a takedown which probably proved costly for Felder. After the win, Hooker called out Justin Gaethje while Felder noted that this might be his last fight.

Elsewhere, in the co-main event, Jim Crute made quick work of Michal Oleksiejczuk and went home with a first-round submission win. Crute relied on his grappling skills from the start itself and it eventually paid off as he got the kimura locked in.

China’s Yan Xiaonan also had a good outing as she dominated former title challenger Karolina Kowalkeiwicz. Marcos Rogerio and Bard Riddell were the other winners in the main card of UFC Auckland. In the prelims, Angela Hill impressed once again and picked up a win. Interestingly, this was her sixth straight fight in the past twelve months making the win much more impressive.
