Joshua Pacio gives his prediction for Xiong Jing Nan vs. Ayaka Miura

The much-awaited showdown between ONE Women’s Strawweight champion Xiong Jing Nan and Ayaka Miura will headline ONE: Heavy Hitters on January 14, 2022. The fight has managed to capture the imagination of the fans and many fighters have also given their prediction for the fight.

ONE Strawweight champion and Team Lakay star Joshua Pacio opened up about the fight in a recent interview with ONE Championship and gave his prediction.

Pacio feels that Xiong has the experience on her side to fend off the challenge posed by her Japanese counterpart.

“For me, Xiong Jing Nan is already tested. She’s already fought Angela [Lee], [Michelle] Nicolini, and the like. Experience will certainly be on her side. Miura, on the other hand, will find ways to submit you especially if she controls you,” Pacio said.

He further went on to add that if Xiong manages to defend the takedowns of Miura, she can dominate the fight.

“However, I believe Xiong is the more well-rounded fighter, and if she can defend Miura’s attempts, then she’ll dominate this fight and maybe finish it around round three or four,” he added.

Pacio’s teammate Lito Adiwang also went with Xiong for the match when former ONE Heavyweight champion Brandon Vera had a similar pick.
