Lito Adiwang gives his prediction for Xiong Jing Nan vs. Ayaka Miura matchup

ONE Championship returns with ONE: Heavy Hitters this weekend and the event will be headlined by the showdown between Xiong Jing Nan and Ayaka Miura. The ONE Women’s Strawweight title will be on the line in the matchup.

A lot of fighters have already given their take on the Strawweight clash and the latest name to give predictions is Team Lakay star Lito Adiwang. Speaking to ONE Championship, the Filipino MMA star gave his take on what would happen in the fight.

“For me, I will give the edge to Xiong Jing Nan given that she is a well-rounded fighter and she also she has tasted and experienced championship fights. She knows how it feels to go a full five rounds, so for me, she will use that as an advantage to win the fight, besides her skills,” Adiwang said.

Adiwang further went on to add that Miura deserves respect and that the Japanese star will be coming into the fight fired up.

“[I have] no doubt that Ayaka will come in this fight fired up and hungry to win, but I see Xiong Jing Nan playing this smart, out-striking Ayaka, and defending Ayaka’s takedowns and submissions,” he added.

Xiong Jing Nan comes into the fight on the back of a two-fight winning streak having secured wins over Michelle Nicolini and Tiffany Teo. She has only lost once since 2015 and has won 11 fights on the flipside. The only loss for Jing Nan in ONE Championship came against ONE Atomweight champion Angela Lee but at the same time, Jing Nan holds a win over Lee as well.
