Charles Oliveira is riding high on momentum following his win over Dustin Poirier. The reigning UFC Lightweight champion is apparently in no mood to slow down and is ready for a showdown with former UFC champion Conor McGregor.

In his recent interview with Sherdog, Oliveira said that he is ready to let McGregor skip the line and give McGregor a title shot although Dana White said that Justin Gaethje might be next in line.

“May would be a wonderful date. Conor challenged me asking a date, and tweeted Ireland vs. Brazil 2. Not only him, but also myself and all the world wants to see that fight. So let’s make it happen. I’m waiting for him in May,” he told Sherdog.

The Brazilian MMA star also went on to add that he is ready to fight McGregor at Welterweight, Lightweight, or even at Middleweight.

“It may be in Welterweight, Lightweight or Middleweight, with my title on the line or not. Just choose and I’ll be ready,” he added.

Interestingly, McGregor has been on a slow run lately having picked up only one win in his last four fights. McGregor has only fought four times since 2018 as well as Oliveira has fought 10 times since 2018 picking up 10 wins.
