Alma Juniku gives her prediction for Janet Todd vs. Lara Fernandez

ONE Championship star Alma Juniku will be keeping a close eye on the co-main event of ONE 159. Janet Todd and Lara Fernandez will be fighting at the event for the ONE Interim Muay-Thai title belt and as Juniku feels that it is going to be an interesting fight.

Alma Juniku fought Janet Todd for five rounds in March 2021 but came up short in an exciting Muay Thai battle.

She was able to feel the heat in "JT's" fists and believes that firepower could be her most valuable asset against Lara Fernandez.

“I think Janet is an amazing fighter. She’s very strong with her hands. She can push the pace, she’s a very technical fighter, and she’s very smart. I felt her power. I know she’s very strong, but I like her hands. I think her hands have improved a lot. And she’s just all-around strong.,” Juniku said in her interview with ONE Championship.

Juniku is forced to watch her division from the sidelines while she recovers from knee surgery. She has, however, taken notice of Fernandez and is impressed by the reigning WBC Muay Thai World Champion.

The Australian feels that Lara can give a tough fight to Todd and applauded her speed.

“I’ve watched some highlights from Lara and she’s fast-paced. She pushes the pace and she looks very fit and strong. I reckon that she will be one of the up-and-comers that you will want to look out for.  Lara’s got something to prove so I’m sure she’ll do well [but] I’ll still go with Janet because she’s got more experience. But then again, you never know what happens at the end of the day. Lara may have a chance with how she pushes forward and, if she keeps her guard up, she’ll do very well,” Juniku added.
