Stamp Fairtex gives her prediction for Janet Todd vs. Lara Fernandez

The ONE Interim Atomweight Muay-Thai title will be on the line at ONE 159 when Janet Todd and Lara Fernandez lock horns. The stakes are high for both the fighters. Todd will be looking to become a two-sport champion while Lara will be eager to make a statement in her debut.

The fight has captured the attention of fans and one name in particular that will be watching the fight closely is Stamp Fairtex.

Stamp is already a member of ONE's rare double-champion club, having split a pair of World Title fights with Todd. In their second meeting, she was impressed with "JT's" development and is full of praise for the American striker.

“The first time I fought with her she still couldn’t read the game. Her style was obviously pressing forward, sharp and accurate. But in the second fight, I found that her game had much improved. She was [smart] and had a good fight intelligence. She always thinks before throwing every single shot. anet is also strong. She has built her muscles so well. She has brains and wit. She knows all the principles and what to do,” Stamp noted in her interview with ONE Championship.

Stamp and Todd have fought two times and are currently 1-1 in their rivalry. Lara, on the other, is someone that Stamp knows through Smilla Sundell.

“Personally, I don’t know [Fernandez]. But I’ve talked to Smilla [Sundell, a Fairtex teammate and reigning ONE World Champion]. She knows this girl. I’ve learned that Lara is still not the same level as Janet. However, anything can happen in the Circle. Although Janet has the upper hand, she may lose. Anything can happen,” Stamp added.

Janet Todd has expressed that she is confident about becoming a two-sport champion at ONE 159 and it would be interesting to see how the fight goes down.
