UFC returns this week with UFC Fight Night: Alexa Grasso vs. Viviane Araujo also known as UFC Vegas 62. The event will see fifth-ranked flyweight Alexa Grasso going up against sixth-ranked Viviane Araujo in an exciting main event.

In the co-main event, Cub Swanson will lock horns with Jonathan Martinez in a Bantamweight showdown.

Grasso (14-3, competing out of Guadalajara, Mexico) is a highly regarded challenger who plans to rise to the occasion and put on her most dominant display yet. Grasso has beaten Joanne Wood, Maycee Barber, and Ji Yeon Kim during her current winning run, which is the longest of her UFC career. She now intends to become the first UFC fighter to defeat Araujo, solidifying her status as a title contender.

Araujo (11-3, representing Brazil's Brasilia) aims to enter the flyweight Top 5 for the first time. She is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with strong hands and has achieved major victories over Alexis Davis, Roxanne Modafferi, and Andrea Lee. With another great performance, Araujo hopes to capitalise on her first main event opportunity in the UFC.

Cub Swanson vs. Jonathan Mendez Preview

Swanson (28-12, competing out of Palm Springs, California), a fan favourite who recently earned a spot in the UFC Hall of Fame's Fight Wing for his stunning victory over Dooho Choi, aims to succeed in his bantamweight debut in 2022. With nine total fight night bonuses, Swanson is currently tied for the most in UFC featherweight history. Swanson has won against Darren Elkins, Kron Gracie, and Artem Lobov to the joy of his supporters. He now aspires to defeat another promising young fighter and demonstrate that he is still capable of competing with the world's top.

Martinez (16-4, representing Plainview, Texas) is aiming to extend his UFC winning streak and challenge for the top spot at bantamweight. He is 28 years old, in his peak physical condition, and has recently defeated Vince Morales, Alejandro Perez, and Zviad Lazishvili. Martinez now wants to use a distinctive finish to add Swanson's illustrious name to his résumé.
