Suriyanlek Por Yenying is swinging for a knockout and a contract.
The hard-hitting Thai star steps into the main event spotlight at The Inner Circle on Friday, May 29, taking on Lebanese teenager Ramadan Ondash in a flyweight Muay Thai contest streaming exclusively for members on live.onefc.com.
The 29-year-old from Tor Sangtiennoi arrives as one of the most experienced and battle-tested fighters in the ONE Friday Fights weekly event series. Carrying an 86-31 striking record and an 11-6 ONE record, Suriyanlek has built his reputation on relentless aggression and a never-give-up attitude that has earned him more performance bonuses than any other fighter in the weekly series.
His opponent presents a fascinating challenge. Ondash is already a ONE contracted athlete courtesy of an explosive run through the ONE Friday Fights series.
The Tiger Muay Thai product moves up from strawweight to flyweight for this contest. The jump in weight class and the caliber of opponent he faces on May 29 makes this the biggest test of his young career.
Suriyanlek has done his homework on the Lebanese teenager and knows exactly what kind of danger he brings to the ring.
"Ramadan has great footwork, and his hands are really fast and heavy. I'm absolutely ready to trade with him. I've never been afraid of anyone when it comes to going blow-for-blow," Suriyanlek said.
The Thai veteran is not just planning to trade, though. He has a specific weapon in mind for the occasion, and he has served notice to Ondash about what is coming.
"He's about to get a proper welcome to the division with my signature 'wild buffalo punch.' Once it lands, we'll see if he can take it. We'll find out in the ring," he revealed.
Beyond the personal pride at stake, Suriyanlek has a very clear vision of how this night ends and what it means for his future.
Now, with the opportunity to claim a life-changing US$100,000 contract within reach, he is leaving nothing in the locker room.
"I am strictly aiming to knock him out. Getting that ONE contract would truly be a dream come true," Suriyanlek said.
