Kantharaj "Kannadiga" Agasa (13-5-0) has officially renewed his contract with BRAVE Combat Federation and is expected to return to action under the promotion's banner in 2026. But for the Bengaluru-based veteran, the mission extends beyond personal success inside the cage.
Agasa has also expressed his interest in becoming part of the much discussed BRAVE Bharat League, with ambitions of representing Karnataka and helping shape the future of Indian MMA. As one of the country's most experienced fighters, he sees the league as an opportunity to create a lasting impact on the sport while inspiring the next generation of athletes.
The journey of "Kannadiga" is one built on grit and determination. Raised in Mandligrama, a small village in Karnataka, Agasa discovered combat sports at an early age through wrestling. What began as a childhood passion eventually evolved into a lifelong pursuit of martial arts excellence.
His love for judo led him to the Indian Armed Forces, where he served for five years after joining the military's civilian staff in 2011. Determined to compete at the highest level, Agasa pursued his dream of becoming part of the military's judo team, developing the discipline and toughness that would later define his MMA career.
Over the years, Agasa has emerged as one of India's most recognizable MMA figures, compiling a professional record of 13 wins and 5 losses while competing against elite opposition across the globe. In his previous bout, he faced Abdulfakhad Ahmadi from Azerbaijan at the inaugural edition of Immortal Fighting Championship. Earlier, he represented India at BRAVE CF 98 held in China.
Now, with his BRAVE CF future secured and a potential role in the BRAVE Bharat League on the horizon, Agasa is preparing for a new challenge. For the veteran fighter, the goal is about building a legacy, representing Karnataka with pride, and ensuring that the next generation of Indian MMA athletes has a stronger path to success than ever before.
