Surbala Laishram remains undefeated with win at Bidang Fighting Championship 6

Former GAMMA World Champion Surbala Laishram maintained her undefeated record in professional MMA with a first-round stoppage victory over Sarita Rathod at Bidang Fighting Championship 6 in Guwahati, Assam.

Surbala entered the bout following a quick knockout win against Radha Gupta at Warrior’s Dream Series. In the opening seconds of the fight, Surbala inflicted a cut on Sarita Rathod, prompting the doctors to stop the match. Surbala was awarded the victory via doctor’s stoppage, improving her professional MMA record to 2-0.

Representing ACE MMA Bangalore, Surbala has become one of India’s most talked-about female fighters. She achieved World Champion status at the amateur level and has represented India at the IMMAF and GAMMA World Championships. Surbala transitioned to professional MMA last year, debuting at Warrior’s Dream Series in Navi Mumbai. Her victory at Bidang Fighting Championship 6 further advances her professional career.

Bidang Fighting Championship 6 took place in Guwahati, Assam, on 21 July 2024, under the guidance of Indian MMA star Bhabajeet Choudhury. Monjit Yein emerged victorious in the main event.
