Superbon Vs. Chingiz Allazov: 4 Keys To Victory At ONE Fight Night 6

ONE Championship returns to action this weekend with ONE Fight Night 6: Superbon vs. Allazov, and it promises to be another action-packed event. 

At the top of the 14 January card is the highly anticipated ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Title showdown between divisional king Superbon Singha Mawynn and Grand Prix Champion Chingiz Allazov. 

Both men have an abundance of weapons in their arsenals to come out on top, and before they lock horns at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, we break down their respective keys to victory. 

#1 Superbon’s Distance Control 

In Allazov, Superbon is faced with an aggressive foe who will want to regularly step in and engage in boxing exchanges. 

Thus, Superbon must ensure that he controls the range that the fight takes place at.

Against a technical master like Superbon, the Azerbaijani-Belarusian star’s constant movement and stance switches will be invaluable as he looks to turn the fight into a high-tempo affair. 

If Allazov can force Superbon out of his rhythm, he will go a long way toward snatching the featherweight kickboxing strap off him. 

#3 Superbon’s Kicks 

Superbon’s kicks – like many Muay Thai stars from the sport’s homeland – are his most potent weapon. 

The 32-year-old is dangerous with both legs, and he possesses the power to inflict damage that could quickly slow down an aggressive fighter like Allazov. 

If he can get his kicking game on point, Superbon will be well placed to add another knockout to his extensive highlight reel. 

#4 Allazov’s Counters 

It is critical that Allazov has an answer for Superbon every time he comes calling in order to prevent the defending champion from building up confidence. 

Failure to do so could see the 29-year-old get stuck in his foe’s kicking range, which would make for a tough night at the office. 

Allazov has found great success in past fights by regularly countering his opponent’s strikes before firing back with heavy punches.
