Stamp Fairtex asks Denice Zamboanga to beat Seo Hee Ham first

Denice Zamboanga called out her old training partner Stamp Fairtex after she defeated Lin Heqin at ONE on Prime Video 5 over the weekend. Since they both competed in the atomweight Grand Prix, there have been a chance that the two pals will square off.

Zamboanga departed Fairtex to avoid a possible conflict with Stamp. However, the Filipina was disqualified from the competition after Seo Hee Ham controversially defeated her in the first round.

In a rematch, Ham would go on to defeat Zamboanga more convincingly. At ONE on Prime Video 5, though, Zamboanga returned to winning ways, and she quickly singled out Stamp Fairtex following the bout.

Stamp responded quickly, and asked Zamboanga to get a win over Seo Hee Ham first.

“Tell her to beat Seo Hee Ham first, she lost to her twice. Beat her first and then let’s talk,” Stamp noted in a video which was posted on the ONE Championship page.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Zamboanga explained her side of the story and noted that she wants the number one spot.

“It’s because I already fought most of the top five. She’s now ranked number one. I want to get back to my number one spot,” Zamboanga said.

Speaking further, Zamboanga noted that it was very difficult to call out a friend. But went on to add that they will go back to being friends once the fight is over.

“Yes, it’s very difficult to call out a friend, of course. With Stamp, I love her, but this is business. It’s all about business, it’s nothing personal. Of course [we’ll go back to being friends after the fight]. We love each other, she knows it,” Zamboanga said in the interview.
