Team Lakay star Geje Eustaquio feels that Rodtang Jitmuangnon is the favourite in the ONE Championship Flyweight Muay Thai Grand Prix. Rodtang is all set to fight Savvas Michael at ONE Fight Night 1 in the semi-finals.

A win could book the spot in the finals for Rodtang and the Filipino MMA star feels that Rodtang is the favourite as he has been doing it for a long time.

“Rodtang’s the favourite in the Grand Prix, especially since he’s been doing this all his life. I know that this GP consists of the best of the best Muay Thai fighters, but I believe Rodtang will win the entire thing because he has all the advantages,” he said (h/t Manila Bulletin)

Eustaquio further detailed that Rodtang has the momentum and dominance in the division to capture the Grand Prix title.

“If you’d look at it, he has the momentum with his dominance in his division. His confidence is so high right now, and I expect him to use that momentum in his favor heading into this Grand Prix. So, if I’ll be choosing among all the competitors in this Grand Prix, I’m siding with Rodtang,” he added.

Rodtang progressed into the semi-finals of the ONE Muay Thai Flyweight Grand Prix with a win over Jacob Smith in the Quarter-finals. He is now set to face Savvas Michael in the Semi-finals.

On the other side of the bracket, Walter Goncalves and Superlek Kiatmuu9 progressed into the semi-finals with wins over Josue Cruz and Taiki Naito respectively. The two will lock horns for a place in the finals next and will face the winner of Rodtang and Savvas Michael.
