The biggest amateur MMA fighter of all time has a new home. Ramazan Gitinov has agreed to a multi-fight contract with BRAVE Combat Federation, where he will attempt to take his amateur supremacy into the professional ranks.
BRAVE Combat Federation has long provided a global platform for the most skilled mixed martial artists to shine, frequently achieving life-changing results. And Gitinov will try to follow in the footsteps of numerous amateur heroes who have previously signed with BRAVE CF, like Muhammad Mokaev, Axel Sola, and Jose Torres.
During his 33-fight amateur career, the 26-year-old star has won nearly every award available. The combat sports prodigy is one of only three athletes to have won three amateur world championships, as well as four gold medals on the IMMAF circuit.
Gitinov earned his third gold medal in this year's World Championships after dominating the Welterweight division at the BRAVE Serbia International Combat Week in Belgrade, Serbia, in February. As one of the most well-rounded athletes to emerge from the amateur ranks, Gitinov has demonstrated that he is at ease with either his world-class wrestling or his ever-improving striking, which has caused issues for some of the world's best amateur fighters.
Ramazan left the amateur scene as the top pound-for-pound male fighter, and his performances also helped his national team reach the top of the IMMAF senior national team rankings.
He was also instrumental in the Kingdom of Bahrain winning the inaugural and ground-breaking MMA Super Cup last year. Gitinov has only ever lost two fights, the most recent in 2017. He has subsequently been on a 30-fight winning streak and hopes to bring that momentum into BRAVE Combat Federation, where he will compete for fresh glory on the global professional circuit at Lightweight.
