ONE Fight Night 24 promises an exciting showdown in submission grappling as reigning ONE Women’s Atomweight Submission Grappling World Champion Danielle Kelly defends her title against Brazilian star Mayssa Bastos. The match will take place in U.S. primetime on Friday, August 2, and will be broadcast live from Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Danielle Kelly, undefeated in her four appearances in ONE, claimed the division’s inaugural World Title last September at ONE Fight Night 14. She secured a hard-fought decision victory over 2023 IBJJF World Champion Jessa Khan, marking the biggest win of her career and silencing critics who doubted her ability to compete against elite opponents.

Kelly, a 28-year-old Philadelphia native, is eager to defend her title and prove her critics wrong once again. However, she faces a formidable challenger in Mayssa Bastos. Widely regarded as the best competitor in the lightest weight classes, Bastos has an impressive list of accomplishments, including nine IBJJF World Titles and multiple Brazilian National, European, and Pan-American titles.

Bastos, 26, made her highly anticipated ONE debut in March at ONE Fight Night 20, where she earned a decision victory over Japanese powerhouse Kanae Yamada. Now, she has the opportunity to add the ONE Championship gold to her collection.
