Danielle Kelly secured another huge win at ONE Championship last day when she outclassed Ayaka Miura via a unanimous decision in their grappling showdown.
Kelly made her ONE Championship debut last year against Mei Yamaguchi and had also secured a win over Mariia Molchanova prior to her showdown with Ayaka at ONE Fight Night 7.
The American maintained her unbeaten run in ONE Championship with the win and now, she is open to a showdown with Jessa Khan.
Jessa, who recently signed with ONE Championship, has some history with Danielle Kelly. The two grapplers locked horns back in 2021 at Who’s #1 event and Jessa came out on top with the win via a unanimous decision.
Danielle had also dropped the name of Jessa in her post-fight speech which made matters more interesting.
“I mentioned Jessa just because I know she signed the ONE I have not seen her compete yet for ONE Championship so I would like to see that If we are gonna compete for the title,” Kelly noted in the post-fight media interaction.
Kelly also addressed the previous showdown that she had with Jessa Khan.
“I had history with her like about two years ago and I felt like Iwasn't really you know 100 and I feel like you know it could be with other Jiu Jitsu people that's what I'm used to or more like flowy and we're like the same weight so you know I'm really motivated to get that because I've been working really hard,” Kelly added.
She also noted that she would be interesting in competing on the US fight card that ONE Championship is set to roll out soon.
