ONE Championship (ONE) made a highly anticipated comeback to the historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium with its electrifying event, ONE Fight Night 11: Eersel vs. Menshikov. The unforgettable night showcased a series of captivating martial arts contests, culminating in two epic World Title bouts that left the audience in awe.
Regian Eersel retains the title
In collaboration with renowned luxury brand TUMI, ONE Championship proudly presented the prestigious ONE World Title belt to the deserving World Champions. The main event witnessed the remarkable display of skill and dominance by two-sport ONE World Champion Regian Eersel as he successfully defended his ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Title.
In a spectacular knockout victory that took a mere 46 seconds, Eersel sent Dmitry Menshikov crashing to the canvas with a devastating left hook to the temple. Overwhelmed by the sheer force, Menshikov struggled to regain his balance, prompting referee Olivier Coste to intervene and stop the fight. Eersel's triumph not only solidified his undefeated record of 10-0 in ONE Championship but also extended his remarkable winning streak to 22 consecutive bouts.
Kade Ruotolo wins co-main event
The co-main event showcased the remarkable skills of Kade Ruotolo as he valiantly defended his ONE Lightweight Submission Grappling World Title against the formidable Tommy Langaker. Ruotolo's agility and inventiveness were on full display throughout the exhilarating contest as he relentlessly launched attacks from various angles.
However, Langaker refused to back down and constantly posed a threat with his counter attacks from the ground. Despite falling behind in the early stages of the match, Ruotolo rallied back in the second half, swiftly maneuvering into advantageous positions and relentlessly attempting various submissions. Ultimately, all three judges unanimously scored the bout in favor of Ruotolo, ensuring his continued reign as the ONE Lightweight Submission Grappling World Champion.
