The Uttar Pradesh Olympic Association has recognized the MMA Uttar Pradesh Federation. LockerRoom learned the same after receiving an exclusive copy of the recognition letter. The Uttar Pradesh Olympic Association is affiliated to the Indian Olympic Association as well.
The letter of recognition from the Uttar Pradesh Olympic Association was signed by Secretary General Dr Anandeshwar Panday.
MMA Uttar Pradesh, which is affiliated with MMA India Federation under International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF), is headed by Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Shri. Brajesh Pathak.

“Taking Cognizance of your letter dated 9.11.2020, This is to certify that Mixed Martial Arts Uttar Pradesh is recognized by Uttar Pradesh Olympic Association.
The office bearers of Mixed Martial Arts Uttar Pradesh are as below:
- Chairman: Shri Manish Shukla
- President: Shri Brajesh Pathak (Dy Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh)
- Secretary: Shri Abhishek Maurya
I wish all the above office bearers of Mixed Martial Arts Uttar Pradesh to organize and promote the Martial Arts Games in Uttar Pradesh,”
The letter also wished the federation the best for the upcoming events.
Interestingly, the 6th MMA India Nationals will be held in Lucknow. The event will happen from 18 May 2023 to 21 May 2023 and will be held at the BBD Academy in Vijay Khand in Lucknow.
The event happens on the back of the State MMA Championships which were held across India in states like Assam, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh among others.
