MFN 14: Full Fight Card, Time and Ticket Details revealed by Matrix Fight Night

Matrix Fight Night is returning with MFN 14 on Saturday, 9 March 2024 at the Noida Indoor Stadium. The event will be headlined by the Featherweight Title fight between the reigning champion and India’s Sanjeet Budhwar who will fight Afghanistan’s Abdul Azim Badakhshi.

The Title Main Event

Sanjeet comes into the fight with a professional record of 10-2 to his name and is training out of Warrior’s Cove MMA for his title defence. The Indian had defended his title successfully against Shyamanand at MFN 13 and before that, he had secured a win over Atabek Abdimitalipov as well.

Badakhshi, on the other hand, is undefeated in MFN and had a win over Hae Jin Park at MFN 13. He had also secured wins at MFN 8 and MFN 7 earlier which got him a title shot.

Interim Title Fight Co-headlines

The MFN Bantamweight division is all set to have a new interim champion. Promotional debutant Mohammed Farhad will be fighting Chungreng Koren for the interim title in the co-main event of MFN 14. A seasoned veteran, Farhad comes in with a wealth of experience and also holds a knockout win over current Bantamweight Champion Uloomi Karim.

Chungreng, on the other hand, has been a force to reckon with in MFN having secured three back-to-back wins in the promotion which eventually earned him the interim title shot.

Afghanistan vs. India showdowns

Apart from the main event, MFN 14 will feature two more Afghanistan vs. India showdowns. Mohammed Azim Mokhlis will make his promotional debut against Owais Yaqoob at Lightweight when Zahoor Shah will return to fight against the dominant Rahul Thapa.

Another international fight on the card will see India’s Sahil Rana going up against Chris Tibenda of Tanzania in a bantamweight contest.

Other fights on the card

The MFN 14 card will see a long list of debuts as well with Pravin Wagh being a notable name. A former national amateur MMA champion, Pravin will go up against Balveer Singh Tomar in a Bantamweight fight.

Ajay Kant will be another debutant on the card. He will be fighting Kapil Kumar in a Bantamweight fight.

Ishika Thite will be making her return to the MFN stage and will fight Tenzin Pema in an Atomweight contest. Neeraj Panghal, Akib Ali, and Digamber Singh Rawat will also return for the card with Digamber fighting promotional debutant Owais Sarwar.

Nagaland will be represented on the card by Arsenba Ozukum and Mairidin Newmai who will fight Aminder Bisht and Dushyant Singh respectively.

How to get Tickets for Matrix Fight Night 14

Tickets for MFN 14 will be available at Noida Indoor Stadium on the 7th and 8th of March, as well as on the 9th of March, the show date! From 12 pm to 6 pm.
