Kim Kardashian isn't the best role model for women, according to Ronda Rousey. She was asked which celebrity she detested the most in 2012 at the ESPN "The Body Issue" closing party.

'Rowdy' claimed that Kim Kardashian was a bad role model for women and that she wanted to beat her. A lady whose only claim to fame is an explicit video shouldn't be idolised, according to the former UFC women's bantamweight champion.

"You know what, I would beat the crap out of Kim Kardashian actually. Any girl who is famous and idolized because she made a s*x video with some guy and that's all that you're known for, 'Oh, I got my fame for [expletive],' I think it's pretty stupid, sorry, but it's true,” Ronda Rousey said [h/t Sportskeeda]

Rousey wanted to be a different kind of role model for young girls when she appeared on the cover of the July 2012 issue of ESPN The Magazine.

Having won bronze in judo at the 2008 Summer Olympics, Rousey became the first American woman to accomplish so. In 2011, she started her mixed martial arts (MMA) career with King of the Cage. As soon as Strikeforce was acquired by UFC, she entered and quickly rose to the position of last women's bantamweight champion there.

Rousey participated in the UFC's first-ever female fight at event UFC 157, won the division's first Women's Bantamweight Championship, and held the record for the most female fighters to successfully defend their titles, with six, until Valentina Shevchenko did so in 2022.

Rousey left MMA in 2016, and in 2018 she became the first female fighter to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.

"Girls like Kim Kardashian are being pushed in my little sister's face, and it's just not healthy. She shouldn't need to have role models like this, and that's why I'm doing stuff like ESPN Body because someone needs to do it,” she added.
