Smesh Lesnar: When Khabib Nurmagomedov teased a move to WWE

Khabib Nurmagomedov is known for his skills inside the UFC Octagon but have you ever wondered what would happen if Khabib made it to the WWE?

Well, this is exactly what Khabib teased a few years back on his Twitter. The former UFC lightweight champion revealed that the WWE wanted to sign him and asked his fans whether he should consider the move.

He also added two hashtags ‘Smash Lesnar’ and ‘Fake Fights’ which apparently did not sit well with a lot of WWE fans.

“@WWE ask me to jump inside.What do you think guys? #SmashLesnar #FakeFights,” Khabib wrote on his Twitter page.

The first hashtag was intended toward Brock Lesnar who is someone that had success in both the WWE and the UFC. A former UFC Heavyweight champion, Lesnar has been one of the biggest names for WWE for a long time now.

Some fans suggested that Brock Lesnar would eat Khabib alive under the tweet while other fans suggested that Khabib should stay away from professional wrestling for the sake of his legacy.

Interestingly, WWE superstar Baron Corbin noted that the Cruiserweight champion is bigger than Khabib when Former WWE champion and Olympic Gold Medallist Kurt Angle urged Khabib to stick with MMA.

Khabib retired with an undefeated professional MMA record of 29-0 to his name and has been busy as a coach and promoter ever since. He has been called out multiple times by his fellow MMA fighters but the Dagestani superstar has decided to stay put on his decision to be in retirement.

The Fame Game

The comparisons between WWE and UFC have been on-going for a long time now. Despite the rising popularity of UFC, it is still behind WWE in terms of popularity and reach. WWE has been topping social media numbers for a long time now in terms of engagement.

Most WWE superstars have also enjoyed more social media following when compared to the UFC fighters.
