Since joining BRAVE Combat Federation last year, Joilton "Peregrino" Lutterbach has been unstoppable, swooping in before dispatching his opponents.
In his BRAVE CF debut, he came in as a late substitute for Vadim Kutsyi of Belarus to take against Marcel Grabinski of Germany, who was the early favourite and was scheduled to compete for the 165-pound title if he won. But Lutterbach had other ideas. In the main event of BRAVE CF 61 in Bonn, Germany, he knocked out his opponent in the first round.
After that, Lutterbach rose fast in the rankings to meet Moldova's top challenger, Mihail Cotruta, at BRAVE CF 68. The fight for the interim 165-pound title would determine who would succeed Eldar Eldarov as the undisputed Super Lightweight champion. Lutterbach would experience self-inflicted hardship at BRAVE CF 68 since the Brazilian failed to reach the 165-pound weight limit, excluding him from the championship.
True to tradition, the man defeated his dangerous Moldovan opponent with ease once more, escaping with a first-round knockout to improve to 2-0 in the BRAVE Combat Federation.
Following the cancellation of the co-main event and potential number-one contender Bantamweight fight between Jose Torres and Nkosi Ndebele after Ndebele withdrew for undisclosed reasons, Lutterbach once again requested a short-notice fight this month at BRAVE CF 70 while he waits for his chance to face Eldarov. BRAVE CF has agreed to give him a fight in a new weight class.
The new BRAVE CF 70 co-main event in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on April 23 will feature Andreas Gustafsson Berg of Sweden competing at Super Welterweight (175 pounds), while Lutterbach will go up to that weight class.
The six-promotion multi-division MMA champion has fought more than 11 times at Welterweight and Middleweight, including two winning Welterweight championship fights, and has a record of 37 victories (27 knockouts) and ten losses.

With a victory over Gustafsson Berg, who won the 2020 BRAVE CF "Fight of the Year" award for his crushing victory over Serbia's Miro Jurkovic at BRAVE CF 39, Peregrino" now seeks to open the BRAVE CF Super Welterweight stable door.
A victory over the Swede would not only catch the eye of BRAVE CF Super Welterweight champion Marcin Bandel, but it could also lead to many opportunities for Lutterbach since "Peregrino" will now have a choice as to where he chooses to concentrate his efforts given that BRAVE Combat Federation is the only international promotion with 165- and 175-pound stables.
