Wrapping your hands for boxing is an important step in protecting your hands and wrists from injury. Here are the steps for wrapping your hands for boxing:

  • Lay out your hand wraps: Start by laying out your hand wraps on a flat surface. Make sure that the wraps are not twisted or tangled, and that the Velcro closures are facing up.
  • Place your hand on the wrap: Place your hand on top of the wrap, with your thumb on one end and your pinky on the other. The wrap should be positioned so that the center of the wrap is directly over the back of your hand, between your knuckles and your wrist.
  • Wrap your wrist: Begin wrapping the wrap around your wrist, keeping the wrap tight and pulling it as close to your skin as possible. When you reach the end of the wrap, tuck the end of the wrap under the previous wrap to secure it in place.
  • Wrap your knuckles: Next, begin wrapping your knuckles, starting with your index and middle fingers. Wrap the wrap tightly around your fingers, making sure to cover the top and bottom of each knuckle. When you reach the end of the wrap, tuck the end under the previous wrap to secure it in place.
  • Wrap your thumb: Finally, wrap your thumb in the same way, starting at the base of your thumb and working your way up. When you reach the end of the wrap, tuck the end under the previous wrap to secure it in place.
  • Repeat on the other hand: Repeat the process on your other hand.
