Demetrious Johnson lists 3 super fights that interests him in ONE Championship

The super-fight between Demetrious Johnson and Rodtang Jitmuangnon is something that captured the attention of the entire combat sports community. The fight, which happened at ONE X, saw Demetrious Johnson securing a victory via submission and now, Johnson is open to similar super fights in the future.

Speaking to MMA Sucka, Johnson noted that he is open to Grappling and Muay Thai super fights in ONE Championship.

“I wouldn’t mind fighting Giorgio Petrosyan to see how well he manages the distance in a fight. His eyes, you know, I heard he has really good eyes… Who else? I guess Superbon (Singha Mawynn) to see how good his kickboxing is. I’ve seen his kickboxing. I think Superbon’s Muay Thai is way better than his kickboxing, to be honest with you,” he said.

Speaking further, he added that a grappling showdown with Mikey Musumeci is something that excites him.

“I’m sure I’ll train with Mikey Musumeci one of these days, but we can compete if he wants. But I know how it would go; the battle will tear my ACL. I know people want me to grapple Mikey Musumeci. Mikey Musumeci will eat me up alive. That’s what those guys live, breathe, and eat — Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, right? Like, I’ve started grappling with a gi, and I’ve just been doing pure grappling, and there are levels to grappling. It’s just the sheer fact,” Johnson noted.

The former UFC champion is set to have a rematch with Adriano Moraes as ONE Fight Night 1 which will air on Prime Video in United States. Johnson will be looking to avenge his loss against Moraes and win the ONE Flyweight title.
