I like easy money: Danielle Kelly on Angela Lee matchup

Danielle Kelly feels that Angela Lee is an easy matchup for her if it is in grappling.

Kelly, who has already shown her interest in a showdown with the ONE Atomweight champion, noted in a recent interview with SCMP MMA that she is also curious about the possibility of a special-rules fight with Angela Lee.

“Yeah, I think if I'm not mistaken, I think there are some posts about special rules stuff. So I'm pretty curious. I mean, I haven't heard anything. So I'm open ears to like whatever's in mind. But for now, grappling match. Yeah. I mean, I like easy money. So I'll take the match whenever she's ready and if she wants to compete against me,” she noted (h/t SportsKeeda).

The grappling phenom made her ONE Championship debut at ONE X. She fought to a draw against the experienced Mei Yamaguchi in a submission grappling match. Kelly is yet to make her return after this showdown and will be eager to make a statement in her next outing.

Angela Lee, on the other hand, is coming off a huge win against Stamp Fairtex. The reigning Atomweight champion added another successful title defence to her name with the win over Stamp at ONE X.

Lee and Kelly were seen trading words at the recent press conference which was hosted by ONE Championship and Prime Video in the United States. Both fighters are apparently ready for a showdown against each other and it would be interesting to see whether ONE Championship is willing to entertain the possibility.
