Just days after the resounding success of BRAVE CF 88, BRAVE Combat Federation has announced the fight card for BRAVE CF 89, marking the organization’s return to Spain on October 19. The event, held at Pabellon Santiago Martin in Tenerife, is in partnership with Fight2One and features a stacked card headlined by a Super Welterweight title bout.
The main event will see undefeated Super Welterweight champion Kamal Magomedov defend his title for the first time against Brazilian contender Luiz Cado, who is on a three-fight winning streak in BRAVE CF. Both fighters have been dominant within the organization, and with top contenders like Alex Lohoré and Eliezer Kubanza watching closely, the stakes are high as Magomedov aims to remain unbeaten.
In the co-main event, Spanish MMA veteran Jose Sanchez will compete on home soil against Irish standout Richie Smullen. Smullen has finished his last three opponents and seeks to make a global impact, but Sanchez, with over a decade of experience and the support of the Spanish crowd, promises a formidable challenge.
Dutch prospect Daan Duijs, riding a two-fight winning streak, will make his BRAVE CF debut against Abdelmoumen Msaate, who returns after his fight with Bantamweight champion Nkosi Ndebele. Also, undefeated Dutch talent Ilias Bulaid faces Swiss veteran Anthony Riggio in a Featherweight bout, with Riggio looking to hand Bulaid his first career loss.
In the Atomweight division, Spain’s Andrea Meneses Garcia takes on Italy’s Adriana Fusini, while Anuar Bensayid returns to the BRAVE CF cage after his victory at BRAVE CF 75 to face newcomer Sino Sabzaliev in a Featherweight matchup.
Irish standout Gerard Burns, undefeated in BRAVE CF, moves up to Bantamweight to fight Brazilian prospect Santiago Paiva. Burns, who has finished both his BRAVE CF opponents in the first round, aims to extend his winning streak, while Paiva enters the fight with momentum from three straight wins.
The event will kick off with a Lightweight clash between Spain’s Oscar Mendez and Romania’s Tony Sipos. Both fighters enter the fight on winning streaks, promising an exciting start to the night.
BRAVE CF 89 concludes the organization’s "Around The World in 70 Days" tour, which included stops in China, Pakistan, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, and Slovenia, making it one of the most global MMA events in recent history.
