Bellator 295 Results: Patchy Mix wins interim belt and bantamweight grand prix

In the main event of Bellator 295 Patchy Mix defeated interim Bellator bantamweight champion Raufeon Stots to win the title and the bantamweight grand prix.

At the 1:20 mark of the first frame, Mix caught Stots with a standing knee to set up a title unifier with the victor of the champion Sergio Pettis vs. Patricio Pitbull match from June.

The bantamweight tournament bracket saw Mix defeat former RIZIN champion Kyoji Horiguchi and submit Magomed Magomedov before his victory over Stots. The New Yorker was rewarded with a $1 million cheque and got to meet the champion of the title fight in June.

Ilima-Lei Macfarlane, a former flyweight champion, barely defeated Kana Watanabe in the co-main event to maintain her title chances. She frequently conceded takedowns to judoka Watanabe over the course of 15 minutes, but Watanabe's lack of offence and stiff right hand made for a stronger case before two of the three judges, who handed her the 29-28 decision over the dissenting judge for Watanabe.
