Newly crowned UFC Flyweight champion Alexa Grasso has made a huge leap in the UFC pound-for-pound rankings and is now in the second position in the pound-for-pound rankings.

Alexa Grasso has vaulted to #2 on the ranking after her surprise victory over formerly long-reigning flyweight queen Valentina Shevchenko, trailing only two-division champion Amanda Nunes.

Those who had previously held positions in the top nine have each fallen one position as a result of the Mexican's arrival. Taila Santos, a former flyweight title contender, has dropped two ranks to #12, while Manon Fiorot has remained at #11. Similar circumstances apply to strawweight Marina Rodriguez, who has dropped two spots to rank #14 and is currently below Raquel Pennington.

Tatiana Suarez, who returned to #15 last week thanks to her return triumph from late last month, has seen a swift exit as a result of the alterations.

After a noteworthy victory at flyweight over the weekend, Amanda Ribas has dropped two spots to rank #11 at 115 pounds. Virna Jandiroba (#9) and Michelle Waterson-Gomez (#10) are the winners of it. Tatiana Suarez has also moved up one spot to position #12 elsewhere, replacing Angela Hill.

Ribas is now ranked in two weight classes while experiencing a modest decline at strawweight. The Brazilian has climbed to position #9 in the rankings after defeating Viviane Araujo. As Jennifer Maia moved up to #8, her defeated opponent fell two positions to #10. Due to Grasso's victory, the previous top five have also all moved down one spot.

All of the individuals holding positions in the bottom five of the top 15 have likewise fallen one spot each, with Miranda Maverick dropping out completely.
