After a short gap, UFC returned last day with a stacked card at UFC Fight Night Vegas. The event was headlined by the welterweight showdown between former champion Tyron Woodley and Gilbert Burns.
Burns almost got a stoppage win inside the first minute when he dropped Woodley but the former champion recovered well and steered into the second round cautiously. Woodley had a comparatively better second round but Burns was clearly in the driving seat. The rounds that followed were no different as Burns walked towards a comfortable unanimous decision victory.
In the co-main event, the Heavyweight showdown between Augusto Sakai and Blagoy Ivanov went the complete distance. The fight had a slow pace throughout the three rounds and had split scores according to the judges with the decision going in favour of Sakai.
