After a successful outing with UFC 249, UFC returned on Wednesday night with UFC Jacksonville. The card was headlined by the Light Heavyweight fight between Anthony Smith and Glover Teixeira when Ovince St. Preux and Ben Rothwell fought it out in the co-main event.
Smith and Teixeira had a very interesting main event. Smith had the upper-hand in the first round but was met with strong resistance from Teixeira in the second.
The waves turned completely in favour of Teixeira in the third as Smith struggled to produce anything useful. The fourth round was no different as Teixeira had the dominant position in the ground for the most part while Smith was barely surviving through the round. The starting of the fifth round proved to be the climax of the showdown as Teixeira took home the win via a TKO.
