UFC Fight Night Eye vs. Calvillo Results: Cynthia Calvillo secures decision win

UFC returned today with another solid fight card from the UFC Apex Centre in the form of UFC Fight Night: Eye vs. Calvillo.

The main event saw a Flyweight showdown between Cynthia Calvillo and Jessica Eye. The fight had a slow pace throughout the five rounds with Calvillo dictating the action through most part outclassing Eye by 137 to 97 strikes and 4 takedowns to 0. This reflected in the scorecard as well when she got the unanimous decision victory which took her closer to a shot at the Flyweight title.

In the co-main event, Marvin Vettori got the better of Karl Roberson via submission in the first round itself. Charles Rosa and Kevin Aguilar fought a close fight that went the complete three rounds with Rosa getting the edge in the scorecard and a split decision victory.

The fight between Andre Fili and Charles Jourdain had a similar story with Fili picking up a solid win to add to his resume. Jordan Espinosa also secured a win in the main card when he defeated Mark De La Rosa via unanimous decision.

Tyson Nam impressed on the Prelims when he produced a memorable knockout just 32 seconds into the fight round against Zarrukh Adashev. Julia Avila picked up a memorable win as well after she managed to stop Ginza Mazany in the first round itself. Christian Aguilera, Merab Dvalishvili and Mariya Agapova were the other winners on the preliminary fight card.
