Soul of Warriors returned with SOW 2 on January 9, 2021, from Kolkata. The event was headlined by the showdown between Kushal Vyas and Rohit Pundeer. Just like he promised in the pre-fight interview, Kushal Vyas ended the fight in the first round itself with an armbar submission to add another important win to his professional record.
The co-main event also ended in the first-round after Hemant Wadekar stopped Suraj Bahadur with some ground and pound. With the win, Hemant is on a two-fight winning streak after his recent return to the cage.
Monika Ghag dominated the fight against Priya Saini and took home a comfortable decision victory. Monika had the upper hand on the ground and she capitalized on the same to level the rivalry to 1-1 without any debates this time around and potentially setting up a trilogy bout.
Mandeep and Akib delivered a three-round war which was ruled a unanimous draw by the judges and it was announced that Mandeep and Akib would lock horns on Soul of Warriors 3 in a rematch to settle the score.
Shivang Guleria landed a vicious first-round knockout against Ishan Das to pick up a huge win for his resume. Pavan Semwal and Bishal went the complete distance with Bishal taking getting the decision win after three rounds.
The much-anticipated showdown between Avinash Pandey and Mridul Saikia ended in favor of Mridul who managed to lock in a rear-naked choke submission for the win. Ritika Poojary produced a dominant performance against Tejaswini Nandedkar and secured a third-round TKO win when Arshiyan Memon also had an impressive outing as he submitted Kiran Ghag to improve his winning streak.
Sutapa Das submitted Payal Sharma in the opening bout of the event via an RNC submission which was followed by Rahul Dey picking up a decision win in the second fight. Sumana made quick work of Tanushree Dutta and secured a first-round TKO as well.
