Indian MMA fighter Priya Sharma secured a first-round stoppage win at Fairtex Fight Promotion last day at the Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand. Priya went up against Kanjana of Thailand in a Catchweight bout at the event and produced an impressive performance that saw her dominate her Thai counterpart.
Priya was landing some great combinations which took her opponent to the backfoot and forced the referee to step in. Priya has been a mainstay in the Indian MMA circuit for a long time now and was part of the SFL Challengers show which was the first MMA reality show in India that aired back in 2012.
After being part of the show, Priya took a break from competing due to personal reasons and later returned to be an active name across multiple combat sports in the country. Priya later became a part of the iconic Fairtex Fight Team and has been training alongside names like former ONE Championship two-sport champion Stamp Fairtex.
She also made history recently by becoming the first Indian female fighter to compete in the Lumpinee Stadium when she fought at Fairtex Fight Promotion in a Muay-Thai bout. The Indian bounced back strongly from her decision loss in the fight to secure a win this past weekend and that too, in a dominant manner.
