Indian MMA star Manjit Kolekar has released a statement regarding her knee surgery. Manjit, who last fought back at BRAVE CF 30 in Hyderabad, noted that she underwent the surgery back in May and thanked everyone that supported her. You can see the statement from Manjit below.

“I have finally found a moment of calm to be able to sit down and write to you and convey my deepest and sincerest appreciation for the incredibly supportive help that you all have me at my lowest. I’m so honored to have well-wishers like you. You helped me at my worst hours. Nobody nowadays helps someone without any return but I feel very blessed and I am very thankful for your kind gesture.

With my personal experience, I can say blood is not always thicker than water. In this phase of life, the only support I have had is from Y’all, many of you who I know and majority of who I have never met. Everything God willingly if fine with me now. I honestly can’t thank y’all enough for what Y’all have made possible.

With God’s grace, surgery for my knee (ACL revision + Meniscectomy) went very well on 28th May 2021. My apologies for everyone thinking why I didn’t share this before… the reason being I just wanted to keep everything low-key.

I’m currently at home resting and taking care and following all that my doctor has advised.

I had my surgery done at Sportsmed Mumbai by Dr. Anant Joshi and his team who is one of the finest surgeons we have in our Nation and Globally. There are not enough words that can describe the greatness and supreme excellence that Sportsmed Mumbai has.

Honestly, I’am very emotional and overwhelemed at the moment. I would just like to thank each one of you from the bottom of my heart for all the love, blessings and support; Y’all have given so far,”

With a professional record of 11-4 to her name, Manjit is one of the most successful Indian MMA fighters. She was also the winner of the first-ever SFL Challengers show back in 2012 and went on to become the first Indian fighter to compete in the Invicta Fighting Championship as well. Manjit is also the first Indian female MMA fighter to compete in BRAVE Combat Federation.
