Brave Combat Federation delivered yet another memorable show in India this weekend with Brave CF 30. The card, which was headlined by the Bantamweight title showdown between Stephen Loman and Louie Sanoudakis, also, had 9 Indian fighters in action much to the delight of the Indian fans in attendance.
In the main event, Stephen Loman delivered his usual dominant performance and steered his way through the five rounds without absorbing much damage. This led him to his fourth-straight title defence in the promotion via a unanimous decision and improved his professional record 12-2.
Elsewhere, in the co-main event, Phil Hawes made quick work of his opponent and got a submission win in the first round itself. It marked a solid debut of Hawes in the Brave Combat Federation as he has put the entire Middleweight division on notice.
Martin Hudson, meanwhile, silenced the entire Indian crowd when he submitted Bhabajeet Choudhury in the first round. But at the same time, the Indian crowd had a lot of reason to cheer thanks to Kantharaj Agasa and Mohammed Farhad.
Kantharaj and Mohammed Farhad get wins for India on the main card
Kantharaj grinded out a dominant decision win over Jordan’s Nawras Abzakh and gave a highly emotional post-fight speech. He revealed that he had thought of giving up on his dreams after suffering two back to back defeats and went on to add that his team motivated him to snap out of the same. He also urged everyone to never give up on their dream.
Mohammed Farhad made his return to Brave Combat Federation in style as he stopped Kushal Vyas via a first round TKO. A vicious low kick from Farhad forced Vyas to go down which eventually gave the win to Farhad. Despite the last minute opponent change, Farhad managed to get the job done as he promised to and improved his record to 11-3 with 10 of his wins coming via stoppages.
Prelims live up to the hype
The Prelims also lived up to the hype on Saturday night. Satya Behuria kicked off the card with a first round submission victory over PMS Dawngliana and did what he promised to do. For the uninitiated, Satya had mentioned in a pre-fight interview with us that he will be getting a submission win at the event.
Kuldeep Singh got a first round stoppage win over Shankar Mehra in the second fight when Karolina Wojcik managed to go home with a split decision win over Maria Ribeiro who had some great fan support. Todd Stoute and Enrico Cortese also got wins in the prelims.
The fight featuring Manjit and Samin Kamal ended in a doctor’s stoppage after a cut above Manjit’s eyebrow was blocking her visibility. The cut happened in the first round as the result of a head-butt which later worked against Manjit. After a close first round, Manjit had clearly won the second round before the fight was called off by the doctor.
Below are the complete results from the event.
