Sunny Khatri is all set to compete against Mohammed Bilal in the opening bracket of Leverage Fight Night IX.

He sat down with the Leverage Fight Night team for their Athlete in Focus series ahead of the tournament last day where he opened up about a string of topics. Sunny, who trains out of Bali MMA, noted that his biggest advantage heading into the tournament will be his speed.

“My biggest advantage over other fighters at Leverage Fight Night would be my speed. I’ll be faster than other guys, my scrambles and I’ll be relentless” he said.

He also went on to note that tournaments like Leverage Fight Night will help to grow awareness about the sport in the country.

“Tournaments like Leverage Fight Night will help to grow awareness of BJJ in our country. It will get more people to see what BJJ really is and what the level is in the country and it will give other athletes a platform to compete,” he added.

Sunny concluded by saying that he will be using the potential prize money for his future training.

Leverage Fight Night IX will happen on December 18, 2020, in Delhi and will have sixteen grapplers from across the nation competing in a submission only single elimination Tournament. You can catch the action live on the Facebook page of Leverage Fight Night.
