LFN IX: Sadique Qaiyum wants to donate a portion of the prize money

Sadique Qaiyum will be returning to the mats to compete after a long time when he faces Nihaal Joseph at Leverage Fight Night IX.

Ahead of the event, he talked to Leverage Radio about competing at the tournament and revealed that he is looking forward to competing against Nihaal and his Crosstrain Fight Club teammate Rachit Tyagi.

“I’m looking forward to fighting Nihaal and then I really want to fight Rachit Tyagi because as far as I know, he is the best in his weight category, “he said.

The Rachit Tyagi vs. Sadique Qaiyum matchup will happen if both Rachit and Sadique win their first two matches in the tournament with the likes of Tribhuvan Issar, Mohammed Bilal, Sunny Khatri, Peeyush Pandey, Seth Rosario, and Nihaal Joseph in the mix.

While concluding the interview, Sadique said that he will be donating a portion of the prize money to his team so that he can help the upcoming talent.

“Since Rs. 1 Lakh is a big amount, I want to donate a portion of that to the gym as I want to help the fighters who have great potential,” he concluded.

The submission-only single-elimination tournament will be under EBI rules and will feature grapplers from across the country under the 75KG Category with a cash prize of Rs. 1 Lakh. What is your pick for the tournament? Let us know in the comments below.
