Ahead of the showdown, Nihaal sat down with Leverage Radio to talk about the event and noted that he is excited to compete at the tournament.

“My biggest advantage over other fighters at Leverage Fight Night IX is that they don’t know what my game is. I haven’t been in the scene so long that they know exactly what I’m capable of. So I think I kind of have an X-Factor coming into the tournament,” he said.

He also went on to add that Leverage Fight Night could play a crucial role in the development of the sport in India.

“Growing Jiu-Jitsu throw these kinds of tournaments will be essential for the future growth and development of the sport,” he added.

When concluding, he added that he will be using the potential prize money to travel to different gyms to train and improve his game.
