Leverage Fight Night IX: Debojit Dasgupta excited to compete at the event

Debojit Dasgupta of the Institute of Jiu-Jitsu is all set to lock horns with Tarun Yadav of Crosstrain Fight Club at Leverage Fight Night IX on December 18, 2020.

The event, which will feature 16 grapplers from across India will be a single-elimination submission only tournament with prize money of Rs. 1 lakh and as we reported earlier, an exciting bracket was revealed for the event.

Ahead of the event, Debojit Dasgupta talked to Leverage Radio about the tournament and noted that it could be a huge boost to the Jiu-Jitsu scene in India.

“I bring a lot of experience to the table and I think that will work in my favor. Leverage Fight Night is bringing the most stacked card in the Indian Jiu-Jitsu scene. I think it is going to boost the whole Jiu-Jitsu scene, events, people training Jiu-Jitsu, competitors, help the gyms. I think it’s going to be a great show,” he said.

Debojit went on to add that he will be throwing a party to his teammate at the Institute of Jiu-Jitsu in Bangalore if he wins the tournament and concluded by saying that he is excited to compete at the event.

“I’m just excited for this opportunity. At last ADCC, we had a great show. Looking forward to a great night of fights,” he concluded.
