12-Year-Old Inaaya Multani is a girl on a mission. The young combat sports athlete has set her goals high and is conquering them one by one. Recently, she secured a Gold Medal in the District Wushu Championship in the under -32 Category and now has her eyes set on the Maharashtra State Wushu Championship.
“Lockdown had completely messed up all my training. But for 4 months I’m back on track. Just played wushu district and achieved a gold medal in -32 kg and best fighter trophy,” Inaaya says.
With the Gold in district competition in her bag, she now has her eyes set on the State Level Gold Medal.
“For now, going for Wushu state in Wardha (Maharashtra) and getting a gold medal is my goal. In the Long run, my goal is to be the best MMA fighter. So Wushu is something that will help me a lot,” She adds.
While conquering her goals is indeed her priority, Medals are not the only thing that came to Inaaya’s life thanks to Martial Arts.
“I don't get angry very fast like patience level is good. And I get a quick feel of touch as woman mind is that sharp I don't forget things,” she said.
She also noted that martial arts should be taken up by adults and kids irrespective of age.
“Not only children, big guys and girls and woman and man all should take interest as my parents says nothing is safe anywhere in the whole world we should be prepared for everything and should not depend on others,” Inaaya adds.
Before concluding, when asked about what motivates her, she had the following to say.
“I have only one reason my dad always says you are my dream since I was 4 years. Once in a day, he says I just want to see my dream come true. So, I will do my level best to make my dad’s dream come true,” she concluded.
